PISA-PITIGLIANO
1° day: Pisa-Ponsacco (28km)
We start out our ride through Pisa, visiting its historical city centre and the Piazza dei Miracoli (the Fields of Miracles) with the Leaning Tower. We continue our ride alongside the river Arno. Cycling on minor roads we will be riding through the valley of Arno to end up in Ponsacco, a small town famous for its long traditional handicraft furniture production.

2° day: Ponsacco-Volterra (32km)
Once left Ponsacco biking slowly, we make our way south. We travel through the Val d’Era and through some beautiful villages full of history and tradition. Continuing our ride towards Volterra, we start seeing the wonderful hills which lead us to the outskirts where our daily-tour stops.

3°day: Volterra-Stigliano (38km)
We start the day visiting (without bikes) the city of Volterra, the capital of alabaster. Volterra, situated on a hill (530m high) offers us a beautiful view over the surrounding areas. We find again our bikes at the crossroad to Casale d’Elsa, where we head for, pedalling through the colourful Senesi lands. Past Casale, we make our way towards Sovicille and before reaching it we make a detour to the little village of Stigliano.

4°day: Stigliano-Bagni San Filippo (31km)
Today we immerse ourselves in a fairy-tale landscape, trough the colours and the perfumes of the Senesi hills. We arrive at Bagni San Filippo in the first afternoon and we can discover the unbelievable properties of its thermal water which spurts out free from the white rocks, giving us the opportunity for a relaxing swimming.

5° day: Bagni San Filippo-Pitigliano (35km)
Leaving Bagni we start out our riding through a little known part of Tuscany, among beautiful medieval villages, stunning inhabited lands and the wonderful woods at the slope on Mount Amiata. The last part of our tour leads us to Pitigliano, a beautiful medieval town situated on tuff rocks.

6°day:
Today you will be transferred to Pisa or Roma by car, as it is written in the programme. That’s the end of our long, beautiful and funny tour.
